Afterwards, go to Izamal, also known as the yellow city because of the unique color of all the buildings in the historic center. During your stay in Izamal you can visit the splendid Franciscan convent or the ruins of the Maya Kinich Kakmo pyramid. 

Looking for peace and quiet? Go to the peaceful town of Campeche and Merida, some of the most colourful in Yucatan, to admire an explosion of colours in the streets, especially Calle 59. In the evening, relax in front of the magnificent sunset over the Malecon in Campeche.
