Tsavo National Park

EXPLORE THE LARGEST PROTECTED AREA IN KENYA

One of Kenya's best-known parks is Tsavo, which is divided into two parts by the Nairobi-Mombasa rail line: Tsavo East and Tsavo West.

This park has a typical characteristic: its red earth, which gives a certain color to the animals. Elephants often spray themselves with this earth to protect them from the sun, which is why their skin becomes reddish.

The park is also home to numerous baobab trees, and the foliage is much denser than in other parks in Kenya, making the search for animals more challenging but also more rewarding.

The melted ice of the Kilimandjaro is found in water features in Tsavo, creating luxurious oasis for animals throughout the year.
