During your trip to Belize, head to Swallow Caye, an island whose main attraction is the shallow waters covered with vast beds of sea grass. Established in 2002, the main purpose of this sanctuary is to protect the manatee, an endangered species of marine mammal, which you will have the opportunity to see on a boat trip.
