Merzouga and the Sahara dunes

It is difficult not to go through the Sahara when you want to visit Morocco.

In the south-east of the country you will find the Saharan village of Merzouga, the perfect entry point to explore the largest Moroccan dunes.

Also known as Erg Chebbi, this Saharan massif offers a real postcard landscape, with desert, dunes and camels as you have always imagined them!

As far as the eye can see, you will find only a sea of golden sand.

Many activities are offered to you to enjoy this exceptional place during your stay in Morocco: go camel riding, spend a night under the stars with Sahrawi nomads, spend the night in Berber bivouacs or simply go for a sporty walk on foot.
